Benjamin Frymer

benBenjamin Frymer is Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Hutchins School of Liberal Studies, Sonoma State University.  He works in the areas of critical theory, youth, education, media, cultural studies, art education, and the study of contemporary alienation. He is the incoming Director of Project Censored, and has authored recent publications on the Columbine High School Shootings and the Frankfurt School.  He is also currently co-editing the book, Hollywood’s Exploited: Public Pedagogy, Corporate Movies, and Cultural Crisis (Palgrave), while working on founding the Center for the Study of Media in a Global Society at Sonoma State.
